The next step of our build is running all the wiring. we have to have the electrical roughes in as well as the plumbing before we can get it inspected. The hardest part about running the electrical was figuring out how to connect all the lights and swtches together. otherwise it was pretty easy. We ran most of the wire through the crawlspace to keep from drilling too many holes in our walls.

This video shows how I installed electrical from start to finish, step by step from rough electrical to trim electrical during my basement shop renovation. You can do it yourself like i did, with a little help. This was a Electrical installation in the basement, which now is my work shop. The electrical installation process was a little stressful for me since I’m terrified of electricity, but to get the shop finished I had to overcome my fears and get it done. I did have some help with this from my father and my electrician Frankie. I hope you guys learn something from this video and please don’t hesitate to ask if you have any questions. Last thing make sure you pull a electrical permit and check your local codes. Each city will be different and what I did may not be code in your town.

Time lapse showing the demolition of our old house and the construction of our new house! We bought this property in 2014 and lived in the existing house for 4 years. We then demolished the old house and self-built a new one in the same location. I acted as the General Contractor (for the work that we didn't do ourselves). My dad and I did the framing, windows, siding, electrical, plumbing, insulation, drywall, paint, flooring, tile, and my dad built the kitchen cabinets, along with lots of help from friends and family along the way.
