What is the difference between interior design and fitout?

Recommended Posts

Interior design and fitout are related but distinct aspects of creating functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces.

Interior design primarily focuses on the aesthetics, layout, and functionality of a space. It involves selecting colors, materials, furniture, and decor to create a cohesive and visually appealing environment. Interior designers consider the client's preferences, the space's purpose, and the user experience.

Interior Fitout, on the other hand, refers to the practical execution of the design plan. It involves the construction, installation, and furnishing of the space, bringing the interior designer's vision to life. Fitout professionals handle tasks like wall construction, flooring, lighting installation, and furniture placement, ensuring the design is translated into a functional reality.

In summary, interior design deals with the creative and conceptual aspects of a space, while fitout focuses on the implementation and execution of that design. Both are integral in creating well-designed, functional interiors.
